Robbers takes Cover in Abandoned Estate as Residents Cries for Help

Residents of Vintage Estate along Oda road in Akure, the Ondo state capital have sent a save our soul message to the police authorities and the state government to come to their rescue over incessant robbery attacks,  while lamenting that they could no longer sleep with their two eyes closed.

Vintage estate is one of the several estates along Oda road in Akure South local government area of Ondo state, it has however remained abandoned since its completion.

But this is not the best of time for the people living in this estate as one of the estates constructed by the immediate past government has become a permanent abode for robbers, kidnappers and other criminals.

The estate named Sunshine estate which is being built through public private partnership. PPP, is now a hideout for criminals who perpetrate their devilish acts with impunity.

Responding to questions from newsmen, Bode Ogunsina, the Chairman of the landlords association of the area lamented what the residents are passing through,  calling on the state governor Barr. Rotimi Akeredolu and the security agencies in the State to come to their rescue.

Adekunle Tayo and other Residents said the situation is gradually gettIng out of hand. They called on the state government to clear the bushes around the estate and make it habitable.

Meanwhile, Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Femi Joseph assured the people of the area  of adequate security adding that they should not to panic.
