Gunmen Abducts  Akoko South East Council Workers

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two workers of Akoko South East local government.

The council workers were on their way to work in Isua from Ikare when  their abductors swooped on them between Ise and Isua.

Chairman, Akoko North East local government Hon Rafiu Eniayewu, who confirmed the kidnap to , called for more presence of security personnel in the area which shares boundaries with Ekiti, Edo, and Kogi states.

In his reaction, spokesman of the Ondo Police command, Femi Joseph said just one council worker which he identified as Awolumate Akin was kidnapped.

He however said the command has deployed its operatives to begin manhunt for the kidnappers to rescue the council worker.
